Lucille`s Diner in Louisburg

Stopped with the family on our way to worlds of fun. Typical little diner in a small town with the exception that it’s located on a strip mall. We walked in and set down. Our waitress brought us menus after a few min and took our drink orders. After ordering our plates started to arrive. We had obviously over ordered because our table was covered with plates. Food was good, what you expect for a home style cooked breakfast. My breakfast sandwich was outstanding. Great little place if your driving by for a quick meal Granada’s style.

Walked in and was told to sit anywhere. One open table and it still had dirty dishes on it. Sat there for 5-10 minutes before someone came by and cleared it off. Got menus and then waited another 10 minutes before we got to order. The food was average at best. I got chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and green beans. The cream gravy was the best part of the meal. The mashed potatoes were cold inside and seemed like they had been made days before and then partially reheated. Not sure who has been reviewing this place before because this is not a 4+ star restaurant. There were also cobwebs on the wall and several bees flying around the windows. I would not return.

This is my new favorite restaurant. Employees and guests are incredibly friendly. One of the best burgers I've ever tasted. Tenderloins bigger than your face that will melt your face with awesomeness..... more fries than you could eat in a week

Incredibly good mom and pop joint and the servers were just awesome. The owner loves America and veterans and was a dear. This may not be an elite 5 star place full of itself but I cannot think of any 5 star place I'd rather spend my time!

This place was pretty good. I came here because of the stellar reviews and it appears that perhaps dinner is a better experience than breakfast. Although breakfast was pretty good and I'm sure most wouldn't complain. The food portion was excellent and the taste was good. My omelette came with onions and peppers and I like it better when they're cooked rather than raw, but I'll eat them either way. The hash browns were very good and I added gravy on top as should you. The service was good though with it being my first time here I'd have appreciated someone telling me to sit wherever rather than waiting for the fat stranger (me) standing by the door to ask whether he should sit anywhere... But a minor faupax for a place clearly frequented & loved by locals. Give it a shot, worth stopping in if you're passing through Louisburg.

34+ Romeo's had lunch at Lucille's on a Tuesday. As you can see from the picture the tenderloin is great. It tastes as good as it looks and on Tuesday you buy one and get a second on FREE including a second order of fries (as if you need it) and a drink. We love this place and can't wait to go back.

I heard this was a good place to eat but this was not my experience. Menus had a four piece chicken dinner but only got three pieces. Green beans and the mashed potatoes both were over cooked. Mashed potatoes had potato skins in them. Chicken was so so. Nobody asked how our meal was. They could have had an off day but you would think they could at least get there specials right.

The food is amazing! The portions are huge! We got the special buy one tenderloin get one for $4. It was delicious!!! Will be back!!!

We enjoy eating at Lucille's we had biscuits and gravy the other morning. My husband just had full knee replacement, and I am taking treatments for my lung cancer. They fixed what we wanted and brought out to my car!! ~ I like where everybody knows your name.!😊~ They have lunch and dinner specials...but if you go to Lucille's, you better have a TENDERLOIN. Don't be the person sitting there eating and look over at the next table and say "what is that?, it's huge and is meaty too"! Good tenderloins and if you buy one the second one is cheaper..you can also do the tenderloin dinner w/ mashed potatoes n gravy..etc mix or match. Don't miss out..go try!

Great home style cooking. Excellent portions. Layed back American loving country joint. Nothing fancy. I like to go here to relive my Wife from having to cook all the time. I just get takeout.

Like really good comfort food or a very friendly atmosphere? Then this place is a must for you. I've NEVER been disappointed here. The staff is amazing, the food is incredible both in taste and SIZE (it's a huge portion, left overs guaranteed), and the over all atmosphere is fantastic. It's very cozy with an adorable diner feel. The prices almost seem ridiculously cheap for how much food you get. This is a good place for you and your family to get super stuffed for super cheap. Plus there's always specials everyday. The only bad thing I'd say is that when it gets busy, IT GETS BUSY. It's a very popular place so alot of people come in, even though there's a lot of seating, so come in early before the rush hours because they're very accurate. Other than that, completely worth the wait if you do happen to stop by at a busy time.

Excellent food!... Excellent service! Basically the very same as a restaurant in Riverside. Big difference is this restaurant is dedicated to Veterans and it's less expensive!!

Split the Susi Q's. They're enough for 3 or 4 people😉

Great decor and friendly staff. Maybe it was my east coast accent or something else but I was dumbfounded when the waitress screwed my order up when I was the only one there. Although I did get a huge serving of bacon.

Food is great. Owners are very kind and caring, especially about the military. Small town people at their best.

Date 7/12/19 about 5:30pm Waited 45 min for our food and our waiter didn’t check up on us at all to see if we needed refills or to keep us up to date on our food. Service was SLOW and HORRIBLE with no communication at all. We left and our waiter finally said something to us as we where getting in the car. It’s a shame I saw good reviews and the food looked good. To bad we didn’t get to try any of it. Very disappointing.

Good service/food

Always pretty good. Sometimes a little greasier than other times. Some of the menu is good and some is just okay. Friendly people.

The french fries were undercooked. The cook came out and said that's how she enjoys them. The tray the food was served on was used and dirty.

Good hometown cooking. Take your time. Let your food be prepared.

Lucille never disappoints or ceases to amaze. Her food is incredible, the portions are enormous, and the prices are cheap. I'd say 'reasonable' because it sounds better than cheap, but it's not accurate. Fantastic food, very inexpensive. There are always specials, and wait staff is on the ball, which is a big plus. You're going to get a server who knows what they're doing and does it well!

Not a good place for fast service or what would be considered healthy food. Has large portion comfort foods.

When your family or friends from the city come visit you and want to go eat at a place they can't find elsewhere, take them here for an awesome "mom and pop" diner experience. It is also a good place to see old military photos and newspaper clippings. Oh, and this tree. I want this tree.

Sweet diner that honors our service men and women throughout the years. Attentive service, classic American fare. And gigantic portions. My taco salad was larger than the plate!

The tenderloins are to die for. I have yet to be able to finish a meal here. Everything is homemade and fresh. Try it, you won't be disappointed.

Comfort food is always available. Know Lucille for 20 plus years and food is always grest.

Real mashed potatoes and great chicken fried chicken with gravy

This place was just not good. The staff was friendly and there was tons of food, but it was just not 4.5+ star worthy by any means. Sorry. The onion rings tasted a day old and were cold, the gravy had no salt, and the fries were rough. Eat here if you just don’t want fast food.

A very nice hole in the wall place with EXCELLENT prices. Very big portions. Laid back environment. Love the patriotic decor. Friendly staff as well. Would recommend to anyone.

Called and asked what the special was, which is different daily, a buy 1 get another $3. I was told lasagna or dark chicken so ordered 2 lasagna. Was charged $7.99 each meal and when I went in, the lady was rude and said The lasagna is not The Bogo. The lasagna was the worse I've ever had. Crunchy like reheated and just a small slice and a tiny salad. My dogs ended up with it. Will not be going here again as a problem everytime

Waitress was very nice however never did catch her name I don't think it was given, Unfortunately I don't think the waitress listened very well as my order Referencing the contents of an item just one king it in a customized omelet form, When I got the ticket laid on the table I realize that something wasn't right and there was definitely not customization like I wanted. When I paid my bill and brought it to attention the response was "Oh didn't know " That is very disappointing, maybe start reading back Aloud so It is confirmed that what is being ordered Gonna make its way to the table. Very disappointed not impressed don't know if I will return. It's been over a year since I have been to this restaurant I thought I would give it another chance.
